A Family Reunited After Disaster
In the wake of heavy flooding in southern Lebanon, the Al-Hassan family lost their home, belongings, and sense of stability. With nowhere to go, they spent nights in an abandoned building with little access to food or clean water. When our emergency response team arrived, we immediately provided food aid, clean drinking water, winter clothing, and hygiene kits. We also helped them relocate to a temporary shelter and provided educational support for their children. Weeks later, the family was able to move into a more permanent solution with the help of our housing program. “Asia Charity didn’t just give us things,” said Mrs. Al-Hassan. “They gave us back our life.”
Medical Aid That Saves More Than Lives
In rural parts of the Bekaa Valley, many elderly people have no access to healthcare services. One such person is Mr. Fawzi, a 68-year-old man suffering from diabetes and hypertension. He hadn’t seen a doctor in years and lacked basic medication. Our mobile clinic team reached him during a weekly outreach visit. After his initial consultation, he received medication, a nutrition plan, and follow-up visits. Today, he walks daily and volunteers in his local community center. “I didn’t just feel physically better,” he told us. “I felt human again.”

Nour, a young widow and mother of three, came to one of our distribution centers in Tripoli with tears in her eyes. She had been living off bread and tea for days, and her children were visibly undernourished. Our food security team quickly enrolled her in a relief program, providing monthly food parcels, nutritional supplements for her kids, and referrals for psychosocial support. We also connected her with our women’s livelihood initiative, where she learned how to create and sell handmade crafts. Today, Nour earns a modest income and proudly supports her children. “That food box saved us,” she says. “But the training gave me a future.”
